The young stars Anish Giri and Fabiano Caruana faced each other in Round 11 in Wijk aan Zee Group A. Both are expected to have a brilliant future, however, none of them performs successfully in this competition. Another thing they have in common is their coach Vladimir Chuchelov. Vladimir currently plays for Belgium and is a regular visitor of the Wijk aan Zee festivals. Today Chuchelov looked especially worried, he noted the ideal result for him would be a draw. However, it was Giri's day, who gained his first win at the competition.

The final position deserves to be displayed.

This could be a training sample for showing the difference in location of the pieces and the outcome.

The winner visited the press center where he gave the following commentary: "Before this game I had -2, so my only way to get pluses is to win my last games." Listen to his commentary at full to know his last round rivals.

Here you can see a glass of some unfiltered beer between the screen and Tom Bottema who heads the press center. This detail surely emphasizes the atmosphere reigning in Wijk aan Zee: as the spectators, so the workers come here as to some holiday.
