The Norwegian Chess Federation has confirmed: Vladimir Kramnik won't play in the super tournament which will take place in Stavanger from May 7th to 18th. He will be replaced by Peter Svidler.

The reason for Kramnik's decision to skip the tournament is connected to his tough schedule. In ten days the former world champion will play in the Alekhine Memorial. In June he plans to participate in the Tal Memorial. Apart from that as Kramnik has said in his large interview to Chess-News he plans to take part in the events organized by the RCF.
