Grand Prix Zug: Caruana and Karjakin Failed to Join the Trio of Leaders

The sixth round encounter between Fabiano Caruana and Sergey Karjakin was deciding if any of them could stay among the leaders. In case of wins as Italian GM, so his Russian colleague could join Morozevich, Topalov, Ponomariov trio at the top of the table.

Caruana was closer to achieving his goal for the most of the game. However, after the time control he made a mistake which cost him the advantage; eventually Fabiano found himself in a lost position.
