Norwegian Embassy in India Helps Carlsen With Preparations For the WC Match

Norwegian website reports that the Norwegian embassy in New Delhi will be helping Magnus Carlsen as during the preparations for the World Championship match against Vishy Anand, so throughout the match.

"We are thankful for the help," Carlsen's manager Espen Agdestein said. "They already held several meetings with the Indian Chess Federation, they're checking the conditions of the hotel and in general they're just doing everything possible to help us."

Agdestein notes that such kind of cooperation is very useful for Carlsen's team. "Now we can contact embassy regarding any issues instead of appealing to the local government. This makes us feel confident."

The first secretary of the Norwegian embassy in New Delhi, "The upcoming match is a huge event as for India, so for Norway. It's a great additional chance for us to deepen cultural, scientific and business cooperation between our countries."
