It is still unknown who will replace him

Russian chess federation decided to terminate the contract with the Russian chief coach Yury Dokhoian. This news was announced today by the Chairman of the RCF Management Board Mark Glukhovsky during the live interview to Chess-News radio.

Glukhovsky called the Russian national team participation in Tromso a big disappointment. “The team played far below the level it could play. Nobody managed to show his usual level and several people played much worse than expected. I can't say any good words about this participation. But I wouldn’t ever like to find somebody to blame, this is unacceptable and nobody has a right to do that. Frankly speaking something went wrong in the team. Perhaps we need to change the concept, this is a very complex question, we will work on it”.

It is still unknown who is going to take Dokhoian’s place, but according to Glukhovsky two coaches will still continue their work. These are Alexander Motylev and Vladimir Potkin.
