Anatoly Karpov's chess school may open a branch in Simferopol, but only on one condition - that some issues surrounding the building are resolved and the venue refurbished. The twelfth world champion spoke about this in an interview with the correspondent of RIA Novosty in Crimea.

"This question needs to be resolved by the local authorities, of course. If everything is in order, we will operate there", commented Karpov.

"We would like to open the school there. We want to have a branch in the Crimea, as we have already done in 37 regions of the Russian Federation. We have many talented youngsters, who are demonstrating their successes," added the ex-world champion.
