Viktorija Cmilyte lost to Marie Sebag in Round 4 of EIWCC

Before the 4th round of the European Individual Women's Chess Championship only three players maintained 100% result. One of them Cristina-Adela Foisor made a quick draw against former world champion Antoaneta Stefanova who was lossing her half a apoint.

Two others faced each other on the first board. Marie playing White gained a confident victory over the reigning champion of the continent.

SEBAG M. - CMILYTE V.

Here White are already converting their advantage. 36.Qh5+ brought  White an extra pawn and victory as a result. Somewhat more complicated, but quite accurate was 36.Qf5+! Qf6 37.Qh5+ Ke7 38.Re1+ Kd6 39.Qe8 Rf7 40.Qb8+ Kd5 41.f3 with a decisive attack.

the French player became the sole leader with 4/4.

An interesting combination took place in Charochkina - Foisor M. encounter.

CHAROCHKINA D. - FOISOR M.

26.Bxh7+! Kxh7 27.Qh5+ Kg8 28.Rxa3 Qxc1 29.Rh3

Objectively, White's attack couldn't bring more than a draw, however Black fell into a trap:
29...Qc2? 30.Ne3!!
Soon everything was ended.
30...fxe3 31.fxe3 Bf6 32.Rxf6 Qb1+ 33.Rf1 Qxf1+ 34.Kxf1 Rf8+ 35.Kg1 e4 36.Rh4 b6 37.Qh8+ Kf7 38.Rf4+ 1-0

Here are some of the key games of the day.
