Kramnik on how and why he has lost the first game of the match against Aronian (audio in Russian)

The first game of the match between the former World Champion Vladimir Kramnik and the world's second highest ranked player Levon Aronian has finished in Armenian GM's favor - you can find our express report covering the opening part of the battle right here

Evgeny Surov has talked to the former World Champion and you can listen to the interview in the audio player (in Russian).

As it turned out Gunina - Muzychuk А. game played at the European championship, and now improved by Aronian, hasn't been analyzed thoroughly (using computer) by Kramnik, who has rather focused on the enthusiastic reviews, including the ones on our website. Gunina's play in that game was really good, but it should also be noted that Valentina's opening plan can hardly be called the best part of her performance. Today Aronian showed a simple solution for the problem that stayed unsolved for Anna Muzychuk - after it Russian started to experience hurdles... Lack of tournament practice for more than four months adversely affected Kramnik's play. The former World Champion has also paid tribute to his opponent's great play.
