The 1st tie-break game of the World Championship Match finished in a draw. Boris Gelfand playing white surprised his rival by an interesting move 13.b3!? and got better chances, however after Gefand's inaccuracy 19.a4? the encounter went into complications in which Anand had an advantage, but the assessment of the position has been changed several times.
