The Dates, Format and the Prize Fund of the Festival Moscow Open-2013 Have Been Determined

Yesterday Vladimir Palikhata, the President of the Moscow Chess Federation (MCF) and Vasily Zhukov, President Emeritus of MCF, the chancellor-founder of the State Social University had a meeting. They have agreed on holding the MGSU Cup - the Moscow Open-2013 festival from January 13th to February 10th.

The prize fund of the competition will not change from the last year and consist of 3 500 000 RUB.

The festival will consist of eight competitions: Russian Cup stages among men and women, the amateurs', veterans' tournaments, chess puzzle solving contest, two round-robin tournaments with a GM norm for the young players, children's qualification competitions for the World and European championships among pupils.
